Silent check valve, type 4600
Type 4600 is a silent check valve. The by water pressure pre-loaded spring releases in a split second when water pressure drops and thus closes the disc extremely fast. The rubber gasket of the disc ensures silent operation when the disc closes against the NiCr welded seat in the valve body. The silent check valve is often used in pump stations when several pumps are running parallel. The fast closing cycle prevents back flow and water hammer.
